A Zimbabwean environmental consultancy practising since 2005, built on fieldwork, regulatory knowledge and evidence that stands up to scrutiny.
Black Crystal Environmental Consulting is a registered environmental consultancy based in Harare, serving clients across Zimbabwe and the region since 2005. We work for mining houses, manufacturers, utilities, developers, government bodies and development organisations.
Our work ranges from a single borehole water test to full Environmental and Social Impact Assessments completed to IFC Performance Standards. What links them is the same discipline: our own teams in the field, our own data, and reporting that holds up when a regulator, a lender or a community asks hard questions.
Elevate standards, elevate impact. Standards are the evidence: registration, methods, qualified practitioners and defensible data. Impact is the outcome: approvals secured, risk reduced, communities engaged, and operations that run cleanly long after the certificate is issued.
A Zimbabwe where development and environmental stewardship advance together, and where sound environmental practice is treated as ordinary good business.
To provide practical environmental, social and SHEQ solutions that help clients meet their obligations, reduce risk and improve performance on the ground.

Our team
Profiles, qualifications and photographs are added during the build. The structure below shows how each will appear.
Leads assessment and approvals work, and signs off reports going to EMA and lenders.
Baseline studies, impact assessment and specialist ecological work.
Field programmes for air, noise, water and soil, and the reporting that follows.
First point of contact for enquiries, proposals and client programmes.
Caring for the environment beyond today is not only a strapline. Alongside commercial work, our team runs clean-up campaigns, tree planting, school and youth environmental education, and awareness programmes in the communities where we operate.
This work sits apart from our service offer, because it is not for sale. It is how we practise what we assess.
